Giovanna was born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil. From a very early age, she has been passionate about learning, reading, and writing. Deeply interested in history, languages, and social causes, she has cultivated these passions throughout her life.
She studied History at the University of São Paulo (USP) from 2021 to 2023 and is currently pursuing a degree in Advertising and Marketing at FECAP. Starting at the age of 16, Giovanna taught and helped young people preparing for university entrance exams by giving lessons in essay writing, English, Spanish and History topics. This experience nurtured her love for education and communication. Drawing from her self-taught knowledge of English and Spanish, developed through her favorite lifelong hobby of reading, she has been able to help others in their own language learning journeys.
In April 2025, she discovered the opportunity to join Massa Viana Law and immediately felt connected to the firm’s mission. Having always been dedicated to social causes, Giovanna found a strong sense of purpose in helping individuals and families through complex immigration processes. After joining Massa Viana Law, Giovanna discovered a new passion for immigration law and plans to pursue a paralegal certification in the future.
At the firm, Giovanna serves as a paralegal in the Removal Operations team, working primarily on Calderón Motions to Reopen alongside Attorney Miranda Leo. She also assists in preparing waiver cases, helping clients overcome inadmissibility grounds and pursue a path to lawful status.
During her free time, Giovanna enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her cats. She also volunteers with nonprofit organizations dedicated to rescuing and caring for abandoned animals.
