Josh is a native of Newton, Massachusetts, where he built deep ties to the Boston area. He obtained a degree in advertising from the University of Miami which instilled an interest in writing and interpersonal communication.

While Josh is a fifth generation American, his family history, particularly their escape from the Russian empire, built an interest in immigration law and immigration in general. He seeks to give others the same opportunity his family received over 100 years ago. He currently works with those who have been detained by ICE, individuals hoping to adjust status or obtain citizenship and with Massa Viana’s burgeoning business immigration department. Whether it’s helping people obtain their liberty or work authorization, Josh is committed to helping the immigrant community at large.

When he’s not taking care of his animals, he’s playing guitar, in a boxing ring or on the snowy slopes of Vermont. He even managed to find the time to file a patent for a safe method of extracting scorpion venom in 2018, which was awarded a few months later.
