Lorena was born in Brazil and moved to Massachusetts just days before her 15th birthday. As a former undocumented student, she navigated the U.S. school system with resilience and determination.

Her personal immigration journey inspired her to advocate for others, particularly young immigrants facing legal and systemic barriers. Lorena is also deeply passionate about women’s rights, especially the fight against gender-based violence.

She brings her lived experience, empathy, and strong sense of justice into every aspect of her work. Lorena joined the team in 2025 as a Communication Specialist, where she focuses on client support, community outreach, and ensuring that every person who walks through the door feels seen and valued.

In her free time, she enjoys reading, curating the perfect playlist for any occasion, and romanticizing the simple things in life.
