Melina Bressan

Melina Bressan

Paralegal

Melina was born and raised in Bauru, São Paulo, Brazil. She obtained her law degree from Instituição Toledo de Ensino in 2017. Even before finishing the last year of her law degree, she passed the Brazilian Bar exam.

It was an old dream of Melina to experience life abroad and that’s when the opportunity to come to the United States presented itself. In 2018 she came to Massachusetts and started a new chapter of her life.

Her journey brought her to Massa Viana Law where she opened up to Immigration Law in a way she had never before. As an immigrant herself, she got to know the beauty in Humanitarian Immigration and is currently working in the removal team, collaborating with Attorney Amanda LaRocca. She is currently the paralegal that handles all asylum cases in which she can deeply connect with her clients, their stories and sympathize with the difficulties faced by them in the past. She truly sees purpose in her job and through it she feels she can fight for something good to come out of all the bad faced by her clients.

Fluent in both English and Portuguese, Melina is advanced in Spanish and is currently seeking to become even more proficient to better communicate with clients in a clear and clean manner.

During her personal time, Melina enjoys hanging out with friends, eating good food, watching movies, playing soccer and engaging in outside activities when it’s not too cold
