Miranda focuses her practice on Cancellation of Removal and Waiver cases, representing clients both in and out of removal proceedings. Cancellation of Removal and Waiver cases are both based on the hardship that U.S. family members would face if their undocumented loved one must return to their home country, though to differing degrees.
Miranda attended Northeastern University School of Law (“NUSL”), where she participated in NUSL’s immigration clinic and where she was first introduced to Massa Viana, through NUSL’s co-op program.
Prior to her time at NUSL, Miranda graduated from Arizona State University in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism and Political Science, and a minor in Criminal Justice. After graduation, Miranda stayed in Arizona, working as an intern for a U.S. Senate campaign and a Junior Field Organizer for the Arizona Democratic Party during the 2016 elections. After the elections she worked for three years as a Government Relations Associate for a lobbying firm in Phoenix, where she helped clients build relationships with municipal governments in the Phoenix metro area.
During her time in Arizona, Miranda realized the importance of having a competent, dedicated attorney when she witnessed the difficulties that one of her close friends faced during her immigration process. That sparked in her the desire to enter the profession she now finds herself in, in order to help clients navigate complex legal processes.
In her spare time, Miranda likes to read, cook, hike, and travel.
