Cecilia Viana

Naturalization and Consular Processing

Cecilia was born and raised in Massachusetts by an immigrant mother and father from Argentina and Brazil, respectively. Her upbringing was greatly shaped by her experiences as a first-generation American. Her second-hand experiences with immigration law through her parents’ immigration journeys inspired her passion for social justice and equal rights.

Since 2018, Cecilia has worked at Massa Viana Law during her school breaks. She currently works as a paralegal and administrative aide and prepares Naturalization and Adjustment of Status applications, along with closing cases and organizing events for the team and our clients. She is fluent in English and Spanish and is proficient in Portuguese.

She currently attends New York University, at the College of Arts and Sciences, where she majors in English and American Literature and minors in Spanish and Creative Writing. She spent a semester studying in London, England, which furthered her passion for traveling and education. After graduating, she hopes to be a high school literature teacher and an author, and dreams of traveling the world to teach English.

In her personal time, Cecilia enjoys reading, writing, and watching fun television shows. She loves nothing more than spending time with her family and friends.
