vguimarares@massavianalaw.com

Vitoria was born in Brasilia but raised in Porto Alegre, Brazil. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations in 2012, from the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul. She worked for the Brazilian Government for many years, from her internship at the Department of Social Communication & Marketing of the Brazilian Government Department of Airport Infrastructure (INFRAERO) to event planner of the House of Representatives of her state, and as a senior Public Relations at the State Public Security Department.

She moved to the United States in 2013, and before joining the firm she gained six years of experience working as a paralegal in workers’ compensation, personal injury, and social security disability cases. She has helped hundreds of immigrants claim benefits that they didn’t even know they could.

Vitoria is currently attending law school at the Massachusetts School of Law and because of her own story as an immigrant and her work helping other immigrants through the years, she acquired a love for the immigration practice.

She currently works as a paralegal on our removal team alongside attorney Amanda LaRocca. After she graduates, she wants to not only defend immigrants but inform them of their rights in this country.

Vitoria is fluent in English, and Portuguese and can communicate well in Spanish. When she is not studying, she loves to travel and partake in outdoor activities especially the ones with Maui, her mini-Australian shepherd dog.
